Trucker Trike Progress

The newest technology for moving freight in the greenest fashion.

The Trucker Trike is intended for business, with a universal flat-bed that can be customized for any use.

All-wheel drive, where the front wheel is driven by human power, and both rear wheels are driven by electric motors.  Front Wheel Drive is pedal powered, with a patented mid-drive system that provides high drive power without steering pull.

We are still working on the first one, so keep an eye on our progress.  The first Trucker Trike will be on the streets of Portland by late March, being put to work by B-line Sustainable Delivery.

In the photo below, we have the floor and panels in place. Bamboo panels enclose the wheel wells, and the floor is phenolic plywood – smooth, tough, sealed.
Hint of a motor plate on the right side. Left motor plate is hidden under bamboo panel. Left and right rear wheels have self-contained electric drive systems; they are identical, not mirror-imaged.
With each 20″ wheel having its own power pod, there are no cross axles, no differentials, no nuthin’, under the floor. This allows a lower floor, and increased cargo capacity.

Universal flat bed allows multiple configurations, to customize to your specific business needs.  Cargo cage is optional;  B-line will be placing their own box.
